Andrew Chaplowitz on young person's values

Recently, I was in a college library, using the tranquility and learning atmosphere to work on some things.
I heard an incredulous conversation among the students. It turned out, this one had the goal of being the first at his school to purchase a Bentley. For the uninformed, a Bentley automobile rocks to the tune of $150,000.
I immediately thought of my trek to the library, and all the buildings that are named after someone. People who left a legacy, and wanted to leave this place a little better after they left. Not to be known for the automobile they drove, notwithstanding the fact, with what a Bentley costs, you could purchase 3-5 really nice cars.
The student then proceeded to spend the next hour: trying to read a hooptie magazine, eye-sexed every female in the library, and polished off a package of cookies. Very efficient.

:Lord help us.
